The Annual Christmas Shiai and Party of IGA-Kendo Club was a big success! The events will be covered in a longer article, but allow me this opportunity to express my gratitude to the following people:

Igarashi-Sensei and Junko-San - To the spiritual parents of IGA-Ken, without you and your dedication to Kendo and all your students, we wouldn't be having the time of our Kendo lives. We are very lucky to have met you and become your students and friends.

Matsumoto-Sensei and Nakagane-San - Thank you for all your efforts in helping us with the club. Especially with your help in organizing things and being shimpan, and generally trying to push things yesterday.

Alain, Johnny, and Marlette - For you help in organizing the event, and being a general sounding board on what to do. Let's all work to make this annual event even better next time!

To the Konishi Family - For being great hosts for the party. Thank you for allowing us to use your lovely home. Great parents, great kids, nice house and nice dog!

To all the shiai participants, including the kids, and especially Jason and Teru - Congratulations on showing us your best Kendo! May we all improve our Kendo! See you all in keiko!

To all the administration people - Thank you for all your effort! Though some of you did not do shiai, do not think that we do not appreciate what you did yesterday. Without your help, pulling off the shiai would have been that much harder.

To all those who dropped by and watched - Thank you for your interest! Hope we showed you something interesting.

And finally...Thank you to my lovely wife and sparring partner, Loida. Though we always clash on how to run events like these, it is from these "spirited" discussions that makes these events as successful as they are. Please do not get tired of our mental and verbal jigeiko whenever we do this.

Merry Christmas to Everyone!
