Hi Guys,

Neil-Sensei will be going on a trip to Korea at the end of the month. This is chance for those who are interested in making kendo-related purchases to get something without having to contend with the exorbitant importation and customs taxes. You just need to settle what Neil's smuggling fee will be. :P

I know that Lex has expressed interest in buying a shinai, and Alvin in a kendogi and hakama. If anyone else wants to get something, please inform us either by posting a reply to this post or by informing us on Saturday during practice. Saturday is also the deadline, so please put in your requests by then.

Cheers!

Hi Gelo,

Right now the most economically priced kendogi and hakama set on Kendoshop is US$ 40, which is roughly P1,800 at the current exchange rates. Kayo na bahala ni Neil regarding his smuggler's fee. =P

Cheers!

Hi again Gelo,

So are you planning on ordering a kendogi and hakama? If yes, please give us your measurements and/or preferred sizes for these. Go to www.kendoshop.com and look in the kendo wear section. There are instructions there for making these measurements and determining size. Please send the information before Wednesday if ever.

Cheers!

To everyone else,

Just to note that if you are planning on asking Neil-Sensei to buy something for you in Korea, please indicate what you want before Wednesday, October 27, 2010. Also include sizing and/or measurements if you are planning on ordering kendogi and hakama. You can find instructions on how to get these on www.kendoshop.com.

Cheers!

Hi again guys,

Ok, one last addendum. If you are having trouble figuring out where to find the measurements of kendogi and hakama, just send me your height in cm and I will figure out your size. Just send it by tomorrow.

Cheers!

If it's possible, I'd like to order a kendo-gi and hakama. The measurements seem to differ in the webpages I've gone through so I've included other measurements that may be relevant to selecting the kendo-gi and hakama.

Measurements:

Height: 184 cm

Chest: 83 cm

Waist: 73 cm

Hips: 89 cm

Waist to Ankle: 107 cm

Bicep to Wrist: 61 cm

Neck to Wrist: 77 cm

Left Bicep - Right Bicep: 48 cm

Left wrist - Left Bicep - Right Bicep - Right Wrist: 171 cm

Thank you sir and have a safe trip ^^

Hello sir! May we use this opportunity to get our 2nd shinai? I would like to try the Kyoken Shinai I saw at www.kendoshop.com.

I guess the own kote has to wait. It's a bit pricey =D

Hi Ronin,

If you're ordering a Kyoken shinai, be advised that you'll probably have to pay around P1500 for it.

Just so you know.
