IGA Kendo Club

Hi guys,

The first IGA Kendo Club Christmas party has been scheduled for December 18, 2010, a Saturday. This will be held after the practice that day, the last of the year.

We are currently planning for it, but this early we do need to know the following:

1) Can you attend?

2) Please give a budget (per person) that you are comfortable with. Choose from the following:

          a) P100 or under

          b) P100 to P150

          c) P150 to P200

          d) P200 to P250

          e) P250 to P300

          f) P300 and up.

3) Preferred venue for the party. We are looking at the following choices:

          a) Resto or videooke place near Arena (pros: near Arena; cons: high budget, approx P350 up per head, needs to be reserved asap, 3-4 hour time constraints)

          b) Merced Bakery/Cafe was suggested because it is owned by Max's family (pros: near Arena; cons: not sure of availability)

          c) Alain Duminy-Sempai has also generously offered his house in Greenhills. (pros: no venue charge, no time constraints; cons: far from Arena, food will have to be brought or catered)

Please reply via message to this post. Also note that while we will take your preferences into consideration, we might have to supercede that depending on the available venue, food budget, etc. Hope we can get information/replies soon.

Hi, I'd like to join the Christmas party though I haven't been going to the practices because of

a schedule conflict. Spanish classes until I get my basic certification is my priority.

Will drop by one of these days.

I of course vote for... greenhills :-) For transpo I will hapilly take a few with me (should fit 8 + me and bogu in the expedition). If I can take 2 cars, I will do so. LAst option is MRT to crossing and we do a round trip crossing greenhills by car.

Other aadvantage in greenhills: we can bring a karaoke mike, bring a wii, play some kendo videos or slideshows of Iga ken if you have lots of pictures.

Food and rinks should come up cheaper than a restaurant. We can bring our own homecooked-by-sweet-mama-specialty or we can cater some. Depends on how practical and budget (we could do simple catering for food and buy all the drinks at the grocery).

I miss practice!!!!

Of course you'll be welcome to go! Just be sure to try and pass by at least once before the party so that people will remember you. Seriously though, it would be good to have your presence in the party. And I really hope we can start seeing you in practice once your Spanish classes finish.

Yeah I had a feeling you'd go for Greenhills. Anyway yeah we were considering the transport issue, but upon reflection it might not be too much of one, as between you, me, Neil and Sensei I think that there are enough cars to transport people. Or if not, I'm sure the rest of the people will be ok with taking taxis there.

@ everyone else:

So Allan has upped the ante on his place...which begs the question, does anyone have the MagicSing, Wii, Playstation, etc that we can borrow for that night?
